We killed about 60% Mallards and 40% Pintails in the fields. First day we killed 48 Geese in a field and hunted water in the afternoon. Water hunt we killed Mallards,Gadwalls,Widgeon and a few Pintails limiting out with 48 birds. They rarely hunt over water up there. Also note that guides can't legally shoot with the group up there.

Very cool!
My uncle used to go with a self guided group every year. They would just ask the farmers for permission and were seldom turned down. That was 20 years ago and I'm sure that's harder to do now. I was always working and never got to go.

Need a phone number......Not savvy on Posting I sent you a PM with my phone number. Text me a few pictures and I will post them. We all love to see ducks and geese! I saw a flock of teal on the pond this morning and started making plans for a stalk and a covey rise shot. Good thing I decided to check the regs to make sure today was opening day of teal season.

Was it difficult going through with firearms? Do you still have to have Covid vaccine to enter? Looks like a hell of a hunt! Definitely bucklist for me. No Covid shot required. Canada charges a $25.00 fee per Gun. Leaving from B'ham Airport to Atlanta to Edmonton,Alberta was no Problem with a Gun. Folks at the Edmonton Airport/Customs were very helpful. Gun has to be in a lockable case.
