If anyone is interested, a Hunter's Education Class to get a Hunter's Education Certificate, is being held next Sat. at the Bass Pro Shop in Prattville. If you were born after Aug. 1. 1977, you have to get this certificate to be able to get a hunting license in Ala. A lot of other states you may go to hunt in also requires this certificate to get a hunting license. The certificate is good in all states.
Class starts at 9 and ends around 5:30. You take the test at the end of the class there and get your certificate at the same time.
You will need to go on line and pre- register for the class.
For young kids that pass the test, the certificate is good years later when they need to get a license. I would recommend a kid be at least 11 years old or older.
You can take the course on line, but you get a lot more out of in in person.

I need to get my son to one of these. We’ll be in a dove field that Saturday though.

There is if you do it online though. That is some incentive to take the physical class.

if nothing has changed just passing it would help you get a Fla. cc permit which is honored in more states than your bama one

The certificate you get is good in any state that requires one. In person is a lot better especially if you are a youth or teen age. You get too ask questions and talk to Game Wardens also, which is a real plus for youth.. You get your certificate at the class if you have pre- registered after passing the test. Even if you get a license years later, as with teen age, the certificate is good for life
There is no cost for the in person class and a small charge for doing it on line

The class yesterday at Bass Pro in Prattville went Great! We had 22 attend and all 22 passed the test and received their certificate. Around 8 of the class were adults and the rest teenagers. Now all can get a hunting license now or later. Certificate is goo for life.
