To be honest I didn't notice till my wife pointed it out

Still been slow, full moon isn't helping. Had a muskrat in a beaver trap, one opossum and a wild dog that has killed a couple of calves if not more. He wanted to bite me real bad, yapped and howled almost identical to a coyote

Finally started back but it's been slow the last few days. Averaging a couple opossums and a coon about everyday

Coyotes were all in roads daily for weeks looking for fawns - helicopter sprayed place few days ago and not seeing dogs last few days

I set 4 dirt hole sets today. Dont feel great. One trap i set in prob best location went off and dirt flew up in my face. I reset but my sent should be in the dirt there
We will see - been getting pics there. I did put out extra bait and more options and left fox and yote pee hoping to over ride my sent at that location which likely dont hav a snow balls chance 😀

One opossum fell off somewhere. Set a few traps for a neighbor that keeps seeing two coyotes. Maybe I can atleast snag them because I can't find any coyotes on our place

One trap set off another stepped around. Had cat and dog on camera in general area. Set a double set this morning and a tire set - we will see

Just one coon for me in the last couple days. Even started a bait pile with beavers away from my traps just to see if something would eat them. Nothing has touched them in 4 nights

Finally hit pay dirt - 1 grey fox

Saw a cat in road last night and a dog - hoping one slips up. Got 6 dirt hole and 2 are double sets and 1 a tire set - put ham from the fox in the tire w lot of blood on it and put blood on tire

My double set traps fired - slight struggle. Something has been uncovering my traps - maybe it caught a tip of a paw this time. Another trap fired and another messed with

Getting my backside kicked. Tire set trap was fired or set off - fox ham gone. One other trap messed with - cat tracks - it missed my double set and just fooled with main trap. Dug hole deeper and try to angle cat more toward double set with limbs that were already there. Not feeling that great about it. On camera - the cat usually walks early - from 3-6 pm - its saved lot of dogs. But dogs not on camera daily anymore like they were when fawns were dropping

Finally - got a coyote on my tire set - had one claw literally left n trap - another 10-30 minutes he gone - shot before i took pic

I started trapping a 40 acre block about 3 weeks ago. So far 7 coons, 3 possums, 1 coyote.

Coons not bad on me yet this year!! I been on this property - 256 acre lot longer. I hav caught in The low 60s on coons in 3 - 4 years - 15 possum - 16 coyote - 14 fox and 1 buzzard and 1 pit bull 😀

2 of my traps messed w this morning - one had fox tracks all over - nothing went off

Zippo again. Had fox step all over 3 of my sets - nothing

I stepped in all my traps - been slow - but should hav had catch today. Next run going to make sure i set as light as possible - in all caught one fox and one dog. Did not set any dps - did not want to set close to fields yet - may wait till feb. Not many coons showing up - hit them hard last 3-4 years

I set alot of traps yesterday but only caught a few egg suckers

I just now started reading the most relevant post on aldeer. I been working on a property that was let go for 25 years. Blowed up the last 4 dams that were horrible. Found 2 lodges that I am fixing to go set traps around. I am the trapper for Jackson county's roads and it's been a fun summer. One day when I got more time I got some pictures and videos yall will enjoy

They don't have a very big budget at all. About 2 days a month . I had skipped a place up near Bridgeport because it had been so dry. I had 2 under a bridge that about made me eat loose my pizza I had just eat

The money is for these duck places. They want you to catch them in the spring and get their land dry. Then they want you to let them move back in and help flood it by winter.

Thanks to GH for posting I ain't good at that . Caught this one on that property on 33 I been working on. He is not blowed up he was fresh I wish I had of had a scale. Went back this evening and set 6.00 . Never seen a thing

The place I trapped out has some mad duck hunters on it 🤣. They don't pay to hunt it so they'll get over it I guess till the duck ponds get rebuilt.

2 beavers today. Bought 6 more 330's at coop for 21.99 thought that was good. One of them this morning was in a snare

I've had a ton of people wanting to buy that coyote to mount. Never would have thought that. Good job on the beavers. I have alot of 330s but I love my drowning rods if the water is deep enough.

That is a very unique looking coyote. One of the best looking I’ve ever seen.

Caught 1 beaver in trap this morning. Had to pick up wife's car at 4:15 so I toot my 20 gauge youth and a box of 3 inch magnums. I pull off at 440 where I had seen a new lodge on the farm I been draining. There were beavers already out. I killed 6 and shot the whole box of shells never seen anything like it they just kept coming out of that lodge. I called a buddy cause I was tore up he said he killed 11 one night with a 243 scoped and he is a good shot. I am fixing to ride back down there with a light. 47 for the year so far

Went back with light did not see any more. Tonight is the beaver moon

I killed a monster this morning lol Maybe GH will post later he drug a log off with a snare tied to it

Caught one beaver yesterday. Took my lab with me last night on side by side because i had left my pistol on tractor. He bailed out on a skunk and grabbed it up in his killing shake. Needless to say i spent 2 hours washing a dog lol. When we got to tractor i coated him in swamp mud i believe it absorbed some of it before we had our scrubbing

I am above the real Hollywood on 33 foot of crow mountain. I tore out 3or 4 dams today and set about 10 traps. If I get enough energy built up I am going to get out of the truck and go in the house. It's raining pretty hard here so I am looking forward to in the morning. I needed to tear out 1 more but I could not do it 65 years old sore ain't 45 lol

I was running my traps yesterday and i seen something that i have not quite figured out. I had 3 beavers laying on the bank of a dike where they have been stopping my pipe. When i got there yesterday 2 of them were gone. The other one was laying there untouched. The tracks had been washed out by the rain. Usually, buzzards will eat them and leave tracks. coyotes maybe but usually they eat them where they are. And one left undisturbed? I pulled a cell cam taking it today. What do you think did it?

I check pipe this morning beaver was gone and the beavers had not stopped up pipe. I wish i had not have moved traps. I put a camera on it

Well finally caught a beaver in another spot today and put him in front of camera

Went down to make sure the water was flowing in duck ponds. Seen the deepest slickest beaver slide crossing the dike. Did not have any traps with me. I will have to get some back out there

I dumped a bucket of corn and rice bran in a spot that was a little higher and covered with oaks. Hung a tacticam on it. Needless to say it is hot. Deer are like other critters when they find something they like they gravitate towards it

Well back has been out so ain't done much. Had 1 trap set in a new place with lot of sign. If you don't take the safety springs off you want hold a big beaver lol. Might as well get this years mistakes out of the way early

Hell I had a 330 that was tripped, off the stand and moved as far as the extension cable would allow. Only thing I can think of is an otter got his tail nipped and pulled out after a little struggle.

I left here at 530 and just rolled back in. It shure wasn't all grins and giggles today on the county run. It makes it a whole lot easier though after a big rain to get the fresh leaves and limbs and weeds and grass out. 3 for the start of this year

Everybody talks about trapping being fun and such a easy job. Had to go to Woodville Saturday and set some traps. The county had torn out a ditch 2 days in a row and they had built back again. Caught 2 and had to set 2 more on fresh sign. It was brutal
