Picked up one of these up the other week after seeing a shooting buddy w/ a similar device. Finally had a chance to try it this past weekend checking out some 10mm and 45acp loads. Small enough to keep in the range bag. Set up was simple and quick. Also linked it to the Garmin app.

For a handgun you're supposed to shoot over top of the device, but no easy way to do what where I was at so set it up off to the side pointing at the target sitting 25 yards down range. I was shooting offhand standing next to the bench, but still close to the device. Picked up every shot, seemed to work like a champ. Only anomaly was the 1st shot being a little on the high side for a couple strings. Will plan on shifting the position next time out to see if the reading changes at all. Definitely a handy but pricey little tool.

I got mine earlier this year and have yet to use it. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Not to mention the flood of used chronographs hitting the market after it came out. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure a post on this site is what prompted me to buy one.

Best money I have spent in a loooong time. Just remember to face the display screen toward you. I had mine facing down range at first until I read the instructions--DUH
