Saw one model this morning showing it working north through MS late in the week, then getting pushed back down by another front dropping down and it going back south through Meridian and ending up back over Mobile Sunday and Monday. I honestly dont think they have a clue what it is going to do. Other model shows it breaking up over North MS and dissipating.

We’re farther east than what the storm should affect very much, expecting 40-50 knots of wind and +/- 14ft seas. On pause right now, and should have a plan in motion within an hour or so. We’re a drillship, so we don’t shut down and evacuate, but we had already sent non-essential personnel ashore. Looks like my Thursday crewchange is in the toilet, though.

We need to be planting Tues and Wed nope.. as dry as the ground is and as fast as it will dump rain it will run off and be soaked up so fast that in 3 days it will be like it never happened..

I'm down in Venice, LA at work monitoring this one. Hopefully it doesn't bump any east for us.
As for the rain, I don't need anymore in South Alabama at the house.... I've always said if it rains in Mobile County it will be raining in 1 of 2 areas: Grand Bay/Irvington, or Saraland/Satsuma. It never fails.

It's like the rain follows the path of I-65...don't need anymore here at the house until I get ready to plant my fields

Starting to look like Alabama will end up with more rain then we will here in SW La. That a great thing because we do not need any rain. I just hope y’all don’t get any of the little spin up storms that can produce tornadoes.

I can handle the rain, just hope we don't get 100mph winds because my boat is hanging on the lift on DI. Do you need me to go and do something with it?

I dont wish any damage on you coastal boys but I hope it hits quick and stalls over North Alabama. Grass and pasture land is essentially burned up. Farmers already feeding hay and made pretty much zero off the 2nd cut. Its bad dry here.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

Not good for crops along either side of the MS River, especially defoliated cotton and mature beans about ready for harvest.
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
