I'm 3 hours, 6 minutes from the city center of B'Ham.
One night in a mountaintop cabin in North Georgia, I'll cook dinner for you, open bar, arrive anytime after noon, full breakfast or smoothies and nola bars, gourmet coffee, check out by noon, outstanding front porch.
Activities include local sightseeing tour including scenic overlooks, accidental stops at local gun stores, and good music. Also included is free use of the 35 yard pistol range.
Optional activities include bream fishing in the pond, a botanical tour of Mom's flower beds with planting lessons and care tips, seasonal fruit picking, and a jar of home crafted jam as a souvenir.

They rent cabins at oak mountain state park. You can get one right on the lake.
