Looking for opinions. I am building a shooting house 5x7 and plan to wrap the exterior with plywood and metal. I would like to have a window that installs from the outside with a drip edge that metal can come down to. Bottom line is this thing is going 30ft in the air and I will not be able to get to the exterior again once its up and i dont want to ever replace this thing again.

Get lexan and Frame it in from the inside of the shooting house so they fold up while you are in the stand. I put weather stripping around the seal of mine so it’s air tight once latched and used soft close henges so when you open it it will hold itself up. The deer view windows in my opinion are to noisy trying to slid open and the latches make a loud click if your finger slips off of them while trying to unlock them

I dont like plexiglass, glass windows and hate the ones that you have to slide open. Always in the way. I just cut the windows out and frame the piece of wood that I cut out, hinge it from the top on the outside and run a wire up and into a hole above into the shooting house. When in the shooting house I hinge them about half way up which works as a shade if facing the sun. When I leave I let them down.

Use polycarbonate. You can’t break it and you can cut it with a circular saw. I frame around the edges with wood and attach hinges

To everyone above who said cut a hole, put wood over it, use polycarbonate…y’all missed the part where the original poster said he wanted a window that installs from the outside with a drip edge.

I've got Lexan in tracks that slide to the center. The big window in front is 6' wide, the "glass" is in 3 , 2' sections with the center section being fixed. The sections on either side slid to the middle. Works good and easy to build.
