Here is where this thinkin is coming from. I have seen enough video of how these Venezuelan gangs move and approach buildings. You can tell if you watch that it is some kind of trained skill to move like that. I believe its dense jungle rushing combat training.
Now what kind of manegeable lead spreader could a small woman who never has considered pointing a weapon shoot? She knows the instruction manual -- point that way squeeze trigger dont stop point at bad guy squeeze boom

For me, I would get an indiscriminate lead spreader and shoot my way out. Apartments are always temporary.

Only one group I know of world wide that has a “dense jungle rushing combat” and thats the Scout Rangers of the Philippines, the rest are just thugs.

First, try to remove yourself from the situation so it doesn’t happen…Move !

Second, have a disposal plan and plan to cleanup or distort the crime scene. All your neighbors and family hit the scene before cops arrive and have all the picked up shells in a zip loc bag and the bodies piled up for easy transport, “just trying to help out”. 🤣😂

Third, fight savagely.

Skinny, she needs to have access to multiple weapons, A shotgun is a great first line statement maker.

She does need to train though bud and there really does need to be a community discussion of the like minded

I'll bid a old , rough Model 12 . Take a hack saw to it. Good thing about a older Model 12 is they hold 6 in the mag and are indestructible . I'd load it with BBs or # 4 buck.

Sorry Guvner , I see you asked about an auto 20 not just a 20 . I'd say a youth 1100 Remington . However, a Browning A5 with a short cylinder bore would work , but you don't take a hack saw to a A-5 20. eek

Its hard to recommend a shotgun to folk that haven’t cut their teeth or become one with the shotgun. Those short carbines score more and faster hits with women in my test.

Don’t put up a paper target and shoot bullseye’s with these women, get a nice sized steel and let them bang the hell outta the thing. Body mass hits is what you are striving for. From short range too, 7-15 yards

The Ruger LC is now in 5.7, 45acp, and 10mm (just released). I have a thang for carbines that feed through the grip.

I’m also a big fan of a sawed off single shot 12ga with 1 3” #4 and ditch it when expended and fall back to another weapon (for women)

i know one thing you better not over gun most women to start with . if you do you may never get her to shoot again . if they have never shot before i wouldnt even let them hold a shotgun to start with .

Different women feel comfortable with different things though. I know one chick that uses a 20ga coach and falls back to a Bulldog 44 Special with 240gr flat nosed cowboy loads. Her carry is the same bulldog with cowboy loads. I don’t know the immediate effectiveness of these loads but I do know if she engages, you are shot. 🤣😂🤣

A side note with the coach gun chick. Her dad shoots Cowboy matches and he honed the chambers and she can shoot and reload that thing fast as hell.

Buckshot in the house will easily penetrate sheet rock and go into rooms you may not want it too. Bird shot is fine close up. I have a AR style12 gauge. It doesnt cycle as well with low brass loads but will shoot high brass as fast as you can pull the trigger.

best way i found is for them is to wedge the barrel into the floor and use her shoulder and back to pull it . worked pretty good . my nieces was fine with the ARs though but they dont really like the AR . dont know really why but it seems to big to much . i guess not womanly enough . lol

I just tell them to work it like you mean it, if that doesn’t work, switch to another weapon.

for a low cost solution I would probably buy one of those $150 stevens pump shotguns brand new and saw the stock and barrel off. it would be reliable and chances are your never gonna use it.

with the apartment i worked in/around . buckshot wont be much of a problem depending on the layout of the building some building youd be ok some not so much . multi foor complexes be the hard ones , you have people living on three sides of you so no matter how youll be shooting you'll shooting towards some body . .

thing is with apartments you got to make it as hard as possible to get in . if you gotta shot some body you wanna do it as they come in not coming down the hall way or in your bedroom .

its just some thing that has to planed and thought out .

Our home defense choice is high brass #4 shells, not buckshot. Buckshot can penetrate multiple walls (are your kids behind the threat?), but high brass #4 won't. It will, however, chew a hole in the perp you are shooting at.

Unless the perp is in body armor, which would stop buckshot also. Concentrate on head shots.
