I have a . 2019 Tacoma that has been a perfect truck but have just started to have a headlight problem. Drivers side went out so I bough a new bulb and upon replacement it still would mot work. Took what I thought was the bad bulb and put on the other side and it worked fine, New bulb would not even work on the other side. Messed with fuses and anything I could think of and finally gave up. Headlights work but bright lights not so much, If i flip the switch forward to the on position they do not work, If I pull it to the back flash your lights position it works fine.Any ideas? Checked all fuses and they are good

There’s a separate relay for each headlight. Did you check them when you were checking fuses?

Filament broken on the new one? I replaced one last year and the new bulbs were both broken lol.

Very possible , I've had trouble out of those cheapo, China auto bulbs you get at the chain auto parts stores and Walmart.

If your touchin the bulb with your bare hands…you could be killin it yourself…i always wear rubber gloves. I learned this awhile ago with my tundra

yep. Never touch the glass of the halogen bulbs. Something about the oils on your fingers causes them to blow.

FYI for everyone, NAPA has the bulbs with a 2 year warranty. I put the receipts in the glove box and cash in when one dies. So far a few bulbs in about a 4yr period for free.
