Think of it kinda like lime. You gotta use more of it so it’s not really cheaper but it works great. Anything up to a ton per acre will work good. I would not put more than that and of course you can get by with way less than a ton per acre.

In the past I have gone to places that had chicken coops and cleaned them out and used material in my garden. It worked great! Didn't have to use much if any fertilizer Always used Cow manure from Dad's feed lot in my Garden. Cant get much to grow the last few years. Finally figured out if the pasture was sprayed with Grazon, DO NOT put it where you want veggies to grow.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!
