We planted November 10th-ish last year due to drought in NW Alabama.. Wheat..clover..rye grain..had best year we ever had  I've planted first week of Nov. last two years , plots as good as any I've ever had. There is absolutely no reason to plant gun hunting plots before Oct 15 anywhere in Alabama.
