AU is in worse shape than Bama was after Bear retired. Except there wasn't a Bear quality coach prior to Freeze and there won't be a Saban type coach coming. I'm an Auburn alumni and a fan since I decided to go to Auburn at 12 years old. Auburn football has become irrelevant and I don't see it improving in the next decade. Despite putting together a good recruiting class last year, Freeze hasn't made a difference in the team. They suck, they're going to suck and it's not going to get better. They can fire him in 2 more years and who's going to replace him? I suspect the boosters are the root of the problem and they aren't going anywhere.

We are a really - really bad team amd do not look very well coached
This team has 3-9 potential - we losing to teams we favored against - we aint got to the good teams yet
We hav more talent than last year and some how we are worse - much worse

We havnt played solid football since Tuberville except for a few flashes in 2010 and 13.

It's hard to believe we can be worse than the last two years, but Auburn is definitely falling backwards.
Auburn and Florida are two of the top 6 teams in the traditional SEC, and both have been mediocre for the last decade and are getting worse.
Lot of truth in the posts above, none more so that the post about meddling boosters.

Alabama had the same problem from the time Bear retired until 2007. Saban came in and told them to eff off and that’s when the program turned around.

Should’ve never fired Gus Malzahn. All these SEC schools think that an 8-4 or 9-3 season is bad and fire their coaches, only to hire worse. Nick Saban has ruined coaching in the regard that all major colleges want a championship in 3 years or you’re fired.
