The catfish pattern has changed again. No picture worthy catfish from Saturday. But the eating sized blues came out to play. They preferred small live bluegill at the bottom of drop offs. I was surprised to find them in 60 feet of water. Two weeks ago my graph marked the thermocline at 35 - 40 feet. But the water temps did cool down 8 degrees from 85 to 77 at the surface. As Fur mentioned in the general forum, the drought is taking its toll. The trees are starting to shed leaves. Hopefully the rain is out of here by next weekend and the pattern remains the same.

I'm ready for the water temps to drop enough to keep the wake boarder's home. They were rocking the boat Saturday afternoon.

We fished hard from 7am to 1pm for bass, crappie and brim at the dam then drove through diddo on our way home and I think I saw you loading up the boat around 2pm.

No current and low water equals bad fishing on that river

There's a commercial fisherman that hits that river and does some damage. He goes every single day during the week. There's a few of them actually. I see him every single morning on my drive into work. I know some older guys that say big cats used to be everywhere before these guys hurt the population. They killed the skip jack so bad that it's illegal September 1st at the dam. I don't know the details but that's what I've heard.

I have caught exactly 1 skipjack this year. The bait sellers wiped them out. Hopefully in a couple of years they will rebound. And yes, I was loading up around 2pm on Saturday. You should have stopped and said hi. My nasty white Lund is easy to spot. Just ask Fur. grin
