I bow hunted 5 in 2020 and saw multiple shooters in the big clover field to the north of the section. Moved to where they were the next day and they were on the other end of the field. That’s bow hunting. Had a nice buck at 12 yards in a hardwood draw that was probably 115” deer, but decided to give him a pass. Lots of deer in there, but mostly hunted the water oak acorns close to cover. The white oaks were in the wide open bottoms with little cover. I beat that area down during scouting day and the morning before the hunt. Pm me if you want anything else and I’d be glad to help.

It was a good time and those deer are dumb compared to other deer I’ve hunted. Hate I drew the bow hunt and not a gun hunt, but oh well..

They are dumb. I had the section across the road from 5 last year. Passed on a 3 year old that was probably 115" and then got to the skinning shed and 2 smaller bucks were killed. Oh well. High deer density though. If you want to kill a doe just be still for a few hours.

Won’t be long and it won’t be what it used to be with people shooting small deer like that. That’s a special place and I hope it gets to stay that way, but not sure it will..

Deer cross the public road like cattle coming out of the thick cover in 18 going through the pines to the big field by the road. A lot of deer cross there all day long.

My buddy hit one with his truck during the scouting day that was crossing the road there.
