Anyone have any tried and true recipes for camp stew? My grandad use to make the best but that recipe was never written and he is no longer with us. Going to be a cool rainy weekend and sounds like a good thing to make.

I just make it up every time. I generally just use pork shoulder and smoked chicken for meat. Lima beans, tomatoes, corn, and i don't think its traditional but I like to add potatoes. The broth and BBQ sauce are the key. Cant go wrong with Black Randys for your Q sauce

First and only time I tried your Brunswick I threw up and had a mild seassure chit my self and passed out. It was the black nastys sauce holy crap!

2 whole smoked chickens
2-3 chuck roasts
1- 7-8 pound smoked pork butt
3 gallons chicken broth
1.gallon beef broth
3 quarts diced onions
5 quarts potatoes
1 gallon butter beans
8-9 quarts tomatoes
1 gallon corn
1 gallon okra
Pound of butter
Salt and pepper to taste

I boil/pick Sqwull along with chicken and pork Butt and put in mine. Use chicken broth as starter. Use any/all veggies. Add a dash or 2 of Vinegar to taste.

Gotta get a bigger pot for that family reunion

That recipe makes 8-9 gallons by the time it cooks down. I freeze leftovers in pint containers and eat throughout the year. We cook in February every year and turn it into an all day party.
