I'm glad we haven't planted yet. Several of our plots are sloped and would get washed out with this mess coming from the gulf. Gonna be a lot of fertilizer washed into the ditches on this one I have fairly sandy fields, and just for this reason, I typically wait till the seed germinates and the grains are up and going before broadcasting the fertilizer. Usually plant mid to late Oct, then broadcast trip 13 just before a nice rain in Nov. I want those roots to be actively working when the fertilizer hits the root zone.
