anybody ever done the math on this to see how much fert you lose vs the gain in lime. I know the fert normally has filler in it. I was told the 50lb bag of this will have about 30lbs of lime. just rying to figure out if its worth it at 16.50 a bag google says that normally there will be about 60% filler in a bag of just trip 13

I don’t think it’s a direct fertilizer/lime correlation. There are other elemental parts of the N-P-K that has to be accounted for. I’d like to see the tag/label.
I think it was Biologic that used to sell a pHertilizer that had lime in it. Someone else may offer similar.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

I’ve got a pic of the label, pm me your # and I’ll text it to you Greenpoint in evergreen is making it.
It shows 13% of the NPK’s 9% sulfur 13 chlorine My math brings that to roughly 30.5 of fert with 19.5 of lime?? Is that right?

Greenpoint ag out of evergreen. I got it at universal seed in trussville. I would think any co-op should be able to get it though

I don’t think the entire 39 lbs/100 lbs of filler is lime. Wish they would state it on the label

just spoke with a lady at Greenpoint and they only put 240lbs of lime into a ton of the fert when mixing. With 40 bags in a ton that only comes out to 6lbs of lime in a bag. Far from the 30lbs I was told was in it or the 20lbs I figured was in it.
so,, you are actually paying more per lb than you would for just pellet lime by itself. fyi

This is correct. You can't add 13+13+13 together to come up with the weight of product of whats in the bag or Per 100lbs . Yes, that is the total NPK nutrients, but the forms of fertilizer used are do not have 100% active ingredients and can't be made that way. Example Potash is a mined rock that is a 0-0-60. There are multiple ways to make a 13-13-13 but with this one using the Ammonium sulfate it takes up a lot of weight and doesn't leave a lot of room for filler or pell lime in the case. I would choose this grade 13-13-13 over one made with urea and not Ammonium Sulfate. The sulfur from the ammonium sulfate in this grade will help your grass a lot.
