Call or go by the Environmental Office at your county Health Department. They can tell ya who does them in your area.

I perform perc tests everyday. That’s the only thing I do. If next week doesn’t work, I can catch her any time she is ready.

So Drew do you really comback after 8 hours or 24 hours for true saturation. I have not done a perc test in years. I was the only person I knew of who was truly saturating the perc hole. Just wondering if times have changed???

Engineers do not have to do the 8 hour water test. We get to do a unified test and assign a perc rate based off texture.

Back before the Unified system was adopted into ADPH rules, I knew one engineer who had a 55 gallon drum of water with a homemade check valve arrangement. He adjusted the water level in the hole and left it over night. As the water level dropped, the float would fall and water was added. When he came back the next day it was saturated and ready to start taking measurements.

Much better than the other guy who assigned 7-9 minutes per inch on everything.

Drew that is pretty much all it takes via soil classification. The amount of money I have paid in my lifetime for the Engineer's stamp sure does cause pain. At least yall beat most PHDs.
