Well I filled my doe tag day 1. Saw a doe and a feller in skinny jeans this am but sat on some white oaks raining in this 12-15mph wind this afternoon. Had my buddy past me on hot white oak feeding sign. He saw 7 I saw 5. I’d say my doe was solid 125lbs. We jumped a group of 5 bucks with 2 shooters but have to wait till Thursday to get a south wind. I jumped a Buck in some crp with no tree to climb I’m gonna hunt tomorrow afternoon off the ground. He’s a decent 8pt. We also saw a good 8pt yesterday afternoon. I scouted how to get to him by water on the backside and plan to hunt there in the am. Hunting out of a boat gets you in quick but it’s tiresome. I will try to post some pics but will likely have to send them to another member. Good news is we having fun and 1 tag down. 3 to go! Roll Tide

LFTT- this spot where we saw a shooter from the road is an awesome set up. Pinch point where 3 woodlots connect between ag fields and a long lake finger. Came in blind so I’m not on a hot oak. Squirrel knocked a few out a red oak but 1/2 hit the water. Can see the boat from the tree. Morning movement sux. Have yet to see a deer so far today. We need to sleep in and hunt mid day

I zeroed this am- my fault for coming into a spot blind but we saw a shooter here from the road. My partner filled his doe tag and saw 7, going to pick him up. Got to be on the white oaks right now here. But if you are there are many to be seen

Hunting pressure is picking up. Had guys on me and on my spot this pm. Dumped him off on the Buck hole. Tried to scout where I thought I would kill a Buck and it’s too thick. Jumped deer off it so I backed out with water over my boots and went to a spot we know. Man the oaks were raining! Saw 2 small bucks. We seeing a lot of deer but the big boys won’t play ball

Waited all week for a south wind. Got it today. I’m on a hardwood ridge on a point between a CRP patch and the thicket and just north of a beam field. If it’s gonna happen it needs to today on this spot. Can try tomorrow with an east wind in the am. 78 here and getting warmer tomorrow. Cross Yalls fingers for me boys!

Are you hunting the National Forrest? No it’s a wildlife refuge around the lake. I made a move closer to the bean field where the ridge and CRP make a point. Tried a Hail Mary to get tight to their bedding near the beans. Didn’t pay off this am I’ve seen none. My buddy is on the hot white oaks and seen about 20 does and a spike. Been a good trip. Tons of deer just no shooters. It’s really too many acorns
