I am torn on the idea of selling my fifth wheel camper to someone in the wrath of the storm, and feel like I would be taking advantage of someone's misfortune. I was putting it up for sale, prior to the storm for $39,900 (below retail). I advertised it in ashville for $32,000 and stated I can deliver it for them. Am i taking advantage of the situation?

No if it worth what your asking go for it. The price hiking crap is what is terrible. The delivery will make the sell well worth it.

It sounds to me like you would be giving someone a $5,000 or more blessing if they are looking for something along those lines.

They had thousands of them for Michael victims and had several hundred parked around the airport in Marianna Florida, many never saw a person spend a single night in them, then one day they were gone.

Yes they were and they are sitting in Selma and Hattiesburg MS. My part time job is watching the ones in Selma. There are a lot of full sized trailers but many, many campers too. They learned after Michael that people prefer the campers where they can sit them up on their property while their house is being repaired. They never let them "rot". They have maintenance crews that keep them in shape. Like I said in an earlier thread though, FEMA is a bureaucratic entity that never does anything fast. It is just not in the nature of the beast.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I struggled with cutting ttees for a living after storms. I wanted to help people but cutting trees is the way i make a living. The Lord told me to handle my business in a way that was honorable and he would bless me. He has done that. You dropped the price $7k and offered to spend a day delivering it. Im sure he will bless you for it. He knows whats in your heart.

I gotta say no to the insurance $$$, their homes were destroyed by flooding, gotta have flood insurance, they don’t, they live in the mountains. Was watching news the other day Fox was showing how many people had a flood insurance policy from FEMA from Ga., NC., TN.( might have been SC.), only about 0.5-0.7% had one.

And dozens, if not hundreds, of those trailers were slightly damaged in the Jan 2023 tornado in Selma and they dumped them in the Prattville landfill.

I know when Jawbone previously lived in Selma, he would guard the trailers for extra income
