Looks like fun. I’ve done a few of these over the years. There is a place in south mobile county that is the best at it as far as I’m concerned. The tower is pretty hid in the woods so that helps. Every other station is a dog station. The tower is right next to a little pond so there are a few that land in the water. Some stations are hard do to the small live oaks littered around. I take my dog out there and let her pick up birds a half dozen times a year.

Then I went to a couple in Baldwin county that were basically a bird murder. 40 standers around the tower in an open field. Sounds like world war 3 when a bird gets 20’ out of the tower.

Either is more fun than not going at all though.

Congrats to you and Mrs Doc on a fun time! I hope yall kept some to eat. They are delicious!

Good times. I normally go every year to the one in south mobile and it’s top notch. Good times and good food

I went on one last week for the first time at Soggy Bottom in Linden. You definitely hit the nail on the head at "pheasant shoot", its not hunting. It was alot more enjoyable than i expected going in to it.

I have shot a few and picked up birds at a few more. Lots of fun for a dog.

Never knew there was such in Alabama. May have to check this out. I have killed a few wild ones in the upper mid west. No dogs just find a good hedge row if you see them duck in to it from the road and go walk them up. Love me some pheasants!

Usually have to get up about 20 people or more and book a hunt. I think they are around $4500.

This was a “poor man’s pheasant hunt” $140 per gun. No frills. No food. Jus shooting, waters, and tip the bird boys for cleaning. BYOB for after shoot.

Man I would do that once a month if they had them here for that price.

My buddy puts one on a few times a year. He’s got another one later this month that’s a fundraiser for the Montevallo outdoor scholars program. That one is gonna be $250 but it will have food ect. at a lodge in bullock county.

Benji put one together and I’d come up there and shoot it. We could probably get enough ALdeer guys to do it.
