What would be the fun in that?

BTW, I have never scored any deer I've killed. I seriously doubt I ever will. The score is just a conversation piece, but some people seem to really be serious about them.

I score everything, including deer I know won’t score well. It’s become more of a way to keep records of each deer than anything else. What drives me is maturity, and score is just the bonus points.

I totally get that. I have gone the other way and have tried to not make it "scientific" on purpose. I guess it is just a nostalgia thing longing for the old days.

I really don't kill big deer, but I try not to shoot young bucks when I can help it. If I find a big buck I'll tell my buddies so they can kill it or try to get a good old buck for my kids. A couple of my dad's friends are still alive and getting an 80 yr old to kill a big one just means more.

I did try to kill a buck a couple years ago and had him at 15 yards but he never gave me a good angle. In hindsight I should have shot because he got killed before I saw him again. Wish I had killed that one.

That was a guy hunting a neighboring property. I don't want to post his face.

But, I've been watching many of these leftist politicians and they were in blackface, so it must be fine.

Fine 5X5 160-165 would be my guess.

I came up short again (as usual). Whatever I guess you can pretty much bank on it being 10-12 inches too low. The score came back at 166 3/8. Several of you were spot on.

I really enjoy guessing these scores in the pics. Didn't mean for my earlier post to come across as I am not interested in guessing. I just have never had any of my deer officially scored.
