This is probably the least prepared I’ve ever been the week before Oct 15. Gonna get some camo washed up this weekend though to hit the woods next weekend. Got one on cam that I might shoot and will be hunting as a guest on two SOA rut hunts.

Whats up team? I am not very prepared myself, but this weather coming in will make the opener a good one. I probably will not be after them until Saturday. I'm going on one SOA hunt as a guest, but it is a bow hunt, so not super optimistic. Look forward to hunting with you guys this year.

Killed a 7 pt this morning. He's actually got 10 but 3 are only 1"-1.5" in an odd spot. He was a target deer. He's had this odd rack for a couple of years. He came in with some young bucks. Processor estimated him at 6+ yrs old. He had been spine shot at least a couple yrs ago. Was missing a pretty good sized piece of spine and had big scar tissue. The backstrap on one side of spine was considerably smaller than the other side due to all of the scar tissue. He likes to fight and I feel like he's probably responsible for breaking up some of my deer in past seasons. Well, no more of that.
