Yea, 2 week gun season starts tomorrow so hoping he survives. The ruts not until 3rd week of November so I have that going for me. Season opens for archery 27 Nov so hoping he's still around then. That area has him a really nice 8, a small 9 and a few dinks that have all shown up in the last month. Hoping a bigger one shows lol. No mineral or bait there but as soon as the 2 week season ends I'm loading them up

I know there's some wet stuff nearby but not sure if he was in there or if there's more mud somewhere else. His feet aren't like that in the other pics

I have had pics of bucks before with muddy feet, only the front feet, which told me they were placing the front of their body in muddy water immediately prior to walking in front of my camera. It was a small cattle watering hole they were drinking from after leaving their bed. Clues like that will help you kill deer. 👍

Yep, there's an old water trough in a low area that had wet ground in early August but, he's either looping from low ground to high ground OR there's water across a dim road and up hill. Loading the area with about 5 more cams when I get there in November. I'm gonna hunt pre-rut a few days, the rut 5-6 days, and then the hungry phase after the rut. That's 3 trips at 1150 miles per trip. I hope he lives through this 2 week gun season they have going on.
