Inquiring minds want to know!

A little preliminary testing with some new propellants in the 308 for the 165 gamekings. Just because.

Confirming my go-to IMR 3031 load and trying out some A 2495 and A 2520 - and one loading of Varget.

I would like to think this is a serious inquiry for alternates and substitutes, and that my be true to a certain degree. However, I am pretty certain I just want to shoot my model 70 some at the range!!

I've tried H414, H335, and BLC-2 with 150s in 308. None have been as good to me as Varget.

If I remember 2495 is Accurates take on 4895 your .308 will like it. Varget is great powder too.

Varget and IMR 4064 are always good in the .308 with 150’s and 165’s

3031 load was 2/3", a 2495 load was 2/3", and the varget load was a shim over 1/2".

First time varget has shown out with this rifle and cartridge combo. Had 7 recipes today and none of them were dogs.

Hard to argue with several choices under MOA for a workhorse game bullet.

It’s a shame they don’t all work out that way! Great shooting

We’re not dead. We just smell that way. Dayum. - AC870

Yessir! I’m always gonna shoot what makes me happy and I want everyone else to do the same! If you shoot one be proud of it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. - SJ22

IMR4895 is probably a good option too.
