I doubt anyone questioned the legitimacy of that one.
This team, like some others I've seen in various levels, just simply does not know how to win. The good news is that that eventually changes. Maybe not this year, but it'll change. They need to hear Coach Dye tell them "A'int a damn thing you can do about it but keep putting your guts on the line, again, again, and again" or something very close to that. Man, he wasn't the most polished speaker, but he always said wise things.

Hugh Freeze couldn't carry Dye's jock.
Dye may not have been a polished speaker, but when he spoke they listened. Dye, like many great coaches had a presence that you could feel when he walked into a room. He commanded attention just by being there.
