There have been a bunch of Specklebelly skeins going south in the last 3 or 4 days. About anytime I spend some time outside I can hear them. Hope to see a bunch of them locked up in a couple months.

Ha...didn't know it had another meaning. I guess a flock could have been used. But, according to my ornithologist professor I better use skein. Gaggle works on the ground but not in the air.

Honestly, I usually use flock but you darn guys are so sophisticated I didn't want to be made fun of. I live on a bend in the Mississippi so I guess they cut the corner and fly over my residence.

We usually have a decent population down here by this time of October. I haven’t seen or heard a speck yet. Guess they are a little late this year.

Early goose opens this weekend in Arkansas, so that sounds about right. Always a fun opening. They learn quick though.

I’ve seen one flock but have been busy and not looking to hard.

We were killing them in central Alberta Saturday but you could tell they had thinned out dramatically from when we went up 2 weeks earlier. I heard them flying south all night Saturday and Sunday night. Not many left when we hunted Monday morning
