The place I just trapped out lost several duck ponds, alot of hay fields, and alot of timber because of beavers. Turned a small stream into a nightmare. They blocked off the duck ponds so much that by the time they got a excavator in it didn't have enough power or enough reach to clear out the debris and open the gates. Washed all the dams out before they could fix it during a big rain.

A beaver by nature likes to stay wet and drought conditions are almost always a man made phenomena, generally speaking. 🦫

Bucks love to bed in the thick stuff around beaver ponds. We had one in Dallas Co. years ago and it was $$$ for big bucks.

I just had time to check in. The reason is I have been working on a farm that the beavers ruined. There is nothing for wildlife in dead grass and timber that only has the trunks left. The only benefit of beavers is if you have some high ground that doesn't flood it concentrates the deer and turkeys in the good timber. Like someone said you can tell who doesn't own their land. Why would you ruin 3/4 of your property to be able to hunt 1/4? I have only bow hunted 2 days because of helping this buddy out with the stupid things. Seen 17 those 2 days on my land because it isn't crap ruined by beavers. I have not seen a deer in a week on the beaver farm and very few tracks

I’ve seen a lot of beaver swamps and they're just about always covered up with rubs......Y'all must have them run off that one.
