I stopped short of just saying dirty cop. My 19 year old son left his girlfriend’s apartment last night about 11:00 and was the only vehicle on the road. He passes a cop who pulls in behind him and lights him up. My son said he knew he wasn’t speeding and thought maybe he had a call so he pulled over to get out of his way. The cop pulls over behind him. He gets to the window and my son asked why he was pulled over. The cop told him he rolled through the stop sign. My son turns and looks at the sign and pointed out to the officer that it was a yield sign, not a stop sign. The officer looks at the sign and said, “Oh, my mistake…this is really embarrassing. While I’ve got you pulled over though, let me check your ID and registration.” My son complied. The officer shines his flash light all inside the backseat and rear area of the 4Runner and goes and runs his info. Comes back and says “well I guess I can’t get you on anything so just slow down”. I told my son he was just using that as an excuse to pull him over to check to see if he had been drinking. Dirty trick and an a$$ hole move.

on the flip side I had a friend whose daughter got pulled over and he was mad that the cop let her go with a warning. Less than a mile down the road afterwards she was killed in a car accident and she had been drinking.

the Campus cops were absolute turds, the city cops not much better.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

the Campus cops were absolute turds, the city cops not much better. I don’t know when they merged but at least since 2013 there’s only one police force

Get him an on-board camera and go after the next power tripping cops job that makes an illegal stop. I have more respect for a common criminal than I do an officer that will abuse the public trust.
