I hunt with a .224 TTH and shoot the 77 grain Nosler RDF at 3500 fps and it has a devastating effect on deer and hogs

It’s actually better than the 22 CM which gives 1000-1200 I should get 1800-2000 rounds through it

Pressures in the 22CM are extremely high which aids in shorter bbl life
The .224 TTH has been around since the mid 50’s

Does or would anyone deer hunt with a 22 Creedmore with a 75 gr Hornady ELD-M? If that’s as heavy as you’re going, just use a 223. I looked at the 22 Creedmoor briefly, but was gonna shoot 88 grainers. I shoot 77 grain TMK in my 223.

That wouldn’t be my bullet or choice at 22 CM speeds. Need a better bullet for that velocity. 22 CM is a fine deer cartridge with a good bullet.

No, I’ve never been one to shoot lower power rounds since I was 4 and 5 with a daisy BBgun following my dad and uncle on hunts. I started w a 12 gauge at 6 and a 30/06 at 8. I have been undergunned in certain situations, but any rifle or shotgun … and I have been without a gun with a … let’s leave this to hunting game animals, huh? That 22 c would probably be ok in certain situations, hell a .22 pistol with a silencer is a great weapon to have in quiet times, just hold the barrel to keep it from fully cycling.

In Alabama the 22CM is perfect for every occasion Don’t let the small diameter of the .224 rounds fool you….they are devastating on game animals Don’t believe me ? PM your # and I’ll show you a few pics

The 22 Creed loaded with a 88 gr ELD M bullet would be bad medicine for deer.

At those speeds I'd want a bonded or mono bullet. If they made a 75-77gr TTSX...... I'd consider that

That’s the problem with this gun, it is 1:8 twist. I was told need to say under 80 grain. Does that make since guys? It needs to be 1:7 twists
