Well I saw that Illinois was firmly a blue state. I wont type here exactly what I told my buddy to start shooting arrows at since he is already there (it aint deer). I will say that I told him I will hit every store I can until I find 2 Trump hats for us to wear up there. Headed that way Friday morning.
They have had some hot and rainy weather this week but today It broke with a good cold front. He did say there were a lot of hunters in the campgrounds pouring in. All we can do is try. I will try to post some updates. Looks like we will be able to set up camp and get to hunt Friday afternoon in pre-front conditions. Might get wet Saturday into Sunday am. Sunday Pm-Tuesday am looks good.

Where you are going I highly doubt you run into many liberals. Rural Illinois folk are the salt of the earth kinda folks and are all pro Trump. If it wasn't for the large areas you would never know a democrat exists in the Midwest in general from my dealings with them.

Crab Orchard/ Carbondale IL, home of Southern Illinois University aka the fighting Saluki's. That town looks like an ugly walk everyday. Some weirdos.
Last trip we stayed 25 min north in a little town called Johnson City. Now it was a nice little town full of normal folks.
