I'''ve killed several with forks and splits
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

We had a deer on our lease that was seen on camera for 4 years (at night) after he was likely a 2 year old (no younger). He had a distinct nice drop tine on one side. No one ever saw him in person despite everyone trying to figure him out.
I walked deep into a section of young pines to access a timber lane deeper in one morning at day break. Low and behold I look up and 10 yards away stands that buck ... with my gun on my shoulder. We looked at each other for about a second and half, and he bolted, crashing through brush toward a field on the edge of our lease. I was sick to my stomach that I couldn't have pulled that off.
Everyone left early for the afternoon hunt, and about 2:00 I hear BOOM from that field I heard the deer crashing toward that morning. The least liked hunter in the whole club had shot him 15 minutes after getting in the shooting house. He said he fell right asleep after sitting down, woke up suddenly, saw the buck standing broadside at 15 yards from him, stuck gun out window when he turned his head, game over. Buck had 13 points and weighed over 200 lbs well into the rut.
Me and everyone else were pretty sick that day.
