I’d say look at the 570 (mid size) and 570 full size.
That’s the only two I’d consider for the $. 570 is plenty strong
I actually like my midsize better now that I don’t haul my kids around. I’ve had both.

2013 Ranger xp900 here, bought used in 2018. No problems- has been a good machine.

Ive had all of them as work vehicles at one point in time or another. Power steering a must. Last one was an xp 900 and the current is an xp 1000. If you use them in the woods (we use ours for burning as the firetruck) get higher quality shocks and larger tires so you get better ground clearance. Next one will be a used xp 570 since I don't think 900+ hp is necessary. I often have 50 gallons of water in a skid power sprayer in the back and it handles it fine. The can ams are nice and ride well but pricey so I have never owned one.

We have had a xp900 since new. No major issues and enjoy the day lights out of it. Running the second belt, after the first one lasted two and a half years. We got the glass windshield and rear glass. If you use them, dust will choke you out, so we don’t ever put them in. Power steering is a really nice & as posted before, larger tires & updated shocks will give you the ground clearance to handle a lot more than stock.
If you are handy with wrenches that’ll help keep your Polaris in good condition. I spent around eight hours today greasing bushings & wheel bearings. CV replacement isn’t on my fun list, but after five years, one tore and was replaced today. Oh, 100% metric wrench machine. I like the fact that there’s grease fittings everywhere on this machine.

I bought a xp1000 because they didn't make a 1500. Have enjoyed it so far and like the power. It's done everything I've wanted to do with it except pull a tree we cut down one time, probably weighed a couple thousand pounds green, but I wanted to give it a try.

Would buy again.
