Any of you north Alabama guys know if Town Creek at Hwy 72 is a good place to put in? Looks like there is a place to park a vehicle where Old Hwy 20 meets. It’s about 8 miles or so to Lake Wilson and any number of boat launches there.

We use to wade it. We had to park at the Liquor store a good ways down the road and walk back. All of that road way is a bridge. Not saying you couldn't do it but it would be a long ways to tote a boat. Really shallow right there as well.

This canoe will float in a couple of inches of water and I have a cart for it. Is the fishing worth it?
