They are not easy to kill, that's for sure.

We put two or three a year in the freezer at station 4. They may be hunter smart but aren't too bright where cars are concerned. Drivers come to us to deal with them. smile

Ive gotten permission to a 2 acre spot that is LOADED with deer. Its was a old house place and the house burned. I planted a small plot in that area. Huge whiteoak as well raining acorns last Sunday. I have never seen a place with so much sign.

Last year right after season a buddy and I are bad about getting out and riding the roads just to see whatever. In this particular spot we saw about a 150 class 10 point. It is adjoining about 1500 acres that never gets hunted. My only thing is if we stick one(which will be a hoss or we wont shoot) and he runs and dies in someones yard i dont know what we gonna do lol

Its most likely a place that deer will be seen every trip. I will have a video camera to film shots or just watching the young ones walk

I would believe that whole-heartedly. I've seen bigger bodied bucks in the median and along the edges of I459 than I've seen on our rural farm.

That's about what I was thinking. No way on God's green earth I would have posted that!

Just got back from midday scouting trip across the river. the Wendy's drive thru was long so I settled for The Big Mac. Milshake is better at mcDonald's anyway. CVS next door didn't have my medicine ready yet, so I guess I'll have to swing back later this afternoon. Might just hang a stand then. Wish they would finish this construction across the road, too noisy for relaxing hunting.
