Comfort is important. I've had my Lacrosse snake boots for about 10 years and still going.

This. Lacrosse rubber snake boots are what I wear in bottomland terrain. I wear Danner lace ups in the mountains.

TWISTED X 17" Snake boots ( just under $200 pair)
Rocky Outback Gortex 17" snake boots ( $200 + depending on where you find them)
Have a pair of each... wear good/ comfortable to walk in

Disposable- anything with bass pro name on it regardless of price. Fooled me once, not again.

Walking through water I wear Lacrosse rubber snake boots. For upland/heavy dew , I love the Irish Setter Vapr trek.

My old pair finally split where the lace eye leather meets the Gortex/Cordura fabric and can’t find any in my size left in stock anywhere (don’t see any snake boots on Irish Setter’s site, either). They have been my most comfortable snake boots to date, but alas discontinued.

I used to like the vapor treks but man they are not water proof even spraying them…feet were soaked routinely with morning dew. Went to the lacrosse snake boots the brown light ones and they have been awesome

I spray mine once a year before season comes in and mine have never leaked.

You must have gotten the only pair around to not leak…I know multiple guys who switched away from them. Loved them but when I wore em out, I won’t go back. Got my wife a pair of them though

I’ve worn a couple of pairs out that were just as good. I just bought a new pair to replace my latest worn out pair. They’ve been great boots for me.

The pair I had got a heavy duty spray can treatment yearly and other than standing in water more than a few minutes they were good. Dew never was an issue.
*They were out of the shoe version so I grabbed a can for tents and used it the last couple of years of use. Thicker once cured, maybe?

Waterproof
snake proof
Comfortable

You may pick any 2 of the 3....

Joking aside, my Irish Setter Vaprtrek's (I have the tall ones) are about as comfortable as I can imagine any would be. They're relatively light and feel like a hiking boot. They're waterproof, but I've had to work at keeping them that way as they've sprung small leaks a couple of times. Sno-seal and shoe goo have fixed it, but some maintenance is required.

Most reviews agree that they're comfortable, although some folks (I know I've seen some here) would disagree, so YMMV

I’ve owned them all at one time or another and they either leaked before season was over or developed leaks or holes the second season except for the Chippawah snake boots and the problem with is putting them on and taking them off also the soles are not meant for rugged terrain and will slip easily on hillsides
I’m currently in a new pair of Irish Setter snake boots of which I’ve never owned until now
So far they’re comfortable and are waterproof
