My Mrs. wants to ask you ladies and gentlemen if you've bought the "mail order" Omaha Steaks. I reckon since Trump got elected we can afford steaks again . Need a review , pros , cons, thumbs up or down?

No thank you. Didn’t care for them compared to Rastellis. Given Omaha Steaks as gift and thankfully choked down the last steaks and grease burgers with the help of bbq sauce. Not a good tasting product. If you want a high quality steak or burgers or other frozen meat go with Rastellis.

I got some as a gift. I wasn't impressed. Our local shops have much better meat and a way better price.

Go see a local butcher, if you have one, and buy yourself some good prime grade steaks.

Omaha Steaks=
* OK gift if received
* Very overpriced
* Very small portions
* Much better quality available at many local butcher shops/stores (Costco has much better, less expensive beef products)

thats a good point about Costco. I usually either wait until Publix has their ribeye sale or buy primal cuts from Costco, cut them and vac seal at home.

I have received several packages as gifts through the years but have never considered ordering anything myself from them.

I ate at their restaurant once while in Omaha, tasted like it came right out of the box frozen, I'll pass.

Never been impressed. If you want a good steak at home go to sams or costco and have them cut whole filet in 1" strips for you, cook it medium and eat it with a fork.
