Does anyone happen to know how to contact who manages the leases of the properties that are part of the Thomas Land Trust in Franklin and Colbert counties?

I was part of this club until Thursday when the President called me and said the club lost 900 acres of the lease and had to reduce members. The 900 acres lost has been sold. But he will not refund my money until the sale of the land is final but I’m out of club immediately. Who knows how long that will be. I feel I should have my money returned now.

The president of club is being a coward and won’t give me contact info of the manager of the lease to complain. I believe the guys name is Dean something. If anyone has any idea please let me know.

I would hunt until my money was returned even if prorated

Until he returns your money you are a member of the club.

There should be a closing date for the sale of the 900 acres. I would want that info and hunt until money returned.

You could always hunt under the managers membership and he can sit it out until you are refunded. Guessing he is not one who is forced out.

I thought about just going but I know he gonna try and prorate back to beginning of lease actually started. Which means I’ll only get half my money. I’d rather just not go and get it all back.

Dean Stewart used to be over those leases. Assuming nothing had changed, he was an extension consultant out of Mississippi State and in my experience a good guy. But he basically was the deer manager for the Thomas family.

Who is the club president? I had a horrible experience with a club president down there 20 years ago but was a different club name. He lied to me then tried to make me look like a liar at the meeting to which I was dragged out by two friends calling him names and his drunk buddies they probably haven’t heard since.

I understand the idea of reducing membership due to land loss but there are better ways to go about it.
