I have an 80 volt Kobalt and it does super. A little heavy, but about the weight of a gas model

I have a DeWalt 40v 4ah battery with a couple extra batteries. Damn good cutting machine.

My wife picked me up a Stihl at an Estate Sale just because she knew all my gas products were Stihl.
It works good for electric I guess. Never used another brand.
Keep the blade sharp and oil in the reservoir and it'll cut.

Only experience is with Stihl and it cuts good. Very nice to tote around in comparison to a gas machine.

I bought the Ryobi because it was cheap and I could see if I liked an electric saw. It is the ticket for keeping in the UTV to jump out and cut the occasional small tree. As expected, the Ryobi batteries did what youtube said they'd do, so I bought the Husqvarna and have been quite happy with it. I was told by one of the APCo storm guys that they keep electric Husqvarna's in the bucket trucks.

I also work with a guy that bought two of the Stihl electric tools. His battery had to be replaced at 14 months, after little use.

I have the Makita with an 18" bar, 36 volt with 2 18 volt batteries. I rarely touch the gas saw anymore, but I don't burn wood either.

Not a chainsaw but I have a Dewalt pole saw and I really like it. No issues in over a year. Charge lasts pretty long. Had to trim back my oak tree in driveway before roofers came and it did the trick with plenty of battery power left.

I have the same with the same experience. No problems so far

I’ll second what BhamFred said. I have the DeWalt and it is a really good saw. When I’m at the club, I take my big gas operated Husqvarna and my batter operated DeWalt along for the ride. DeWalt gets used more for clearing roads.

That is the only battery saw I have used. It was good and you lay out a solid plan.

Have had the oregon 40 volt for about 4 years now. There's nothing quite like it & you probably won't find one in any of the big stores. It has it's own sharpening system & evrything related to the bar & chain take down with a turn of hand dials. I use mine a good bit & would not even consider another brand. Do yourself a favor & take a look at one on-line before you buy anything else. The chain on this saw is wicked sharp & you'll for sure have to keep a cover over the bar when not in use. You can cut yourself easily when moving it around in a truck or other machine if not covered & you're not paying close attention. Have nicked myself a time or two.

I have a Dewalt one because of all my other Dewalt stuff. Works good and I've used it to do some fairly decent storm cleanup in the past. Only problem is the bar oil tank leaks when it sits, so I try to remember to empty the bar oil when I'm not using it.

Does the 18 volt power it enough? Seems small for a chainsaw.

Echo by miles. It tested faster then all gas chains saws but Stihl. Best tool I have ever owned. You will be done with it before charge expires. Just wore out prior to battery depletion.

I hope to find one on a Christmas sale. But I've heard to go 40volt or bigger.
