Alabama is probably a playoff worthy team, especially if the team that showed up against Wisconsin or LSU appears. They only problem is from week to week you don't know if you are getting that Alabama or the Vandy game Alabama.

Kind of like Saban's first year. Good games against some ranked teams and defecate the mattress against Clanga, LaMo and the Barn. It's almost like they have to get used to a coaching change and new way of doing things.

I think they (coaching staff and players) over looked Vandy a little. Vandy’s offense takes advantage of the “swarm” mentality that Bama’s defense is predicated on now. It was a great matchup for Vandy.

Tennessee took advantage of a bad game all around for Bama. Saban kept his guard up against this all the time. He preached complacency, playing to a standard no matter the score. He also focused on competition at practice. Competing through a game when you aren’t playing well gets you through that with a win. DeBoer doesn’t seem to focus on that. Watch his demeanor when they are winning big. Hes joking and smiling. When they are losing or in a tight game he is serious and coaching hard. He tries to get his guys to play without pressure. That’s impossible. Saban coached harder when his teams were winning big. He was providing the pressure. He coached harder against Mercer than he did in the SEC championships. Those games provide enough pressure by itself. But you have to add pressure to the easy wins. It’s definitely a different mentality.
