They just completed the most exhaustive study yet to the affect of the moon on deer movement to date. Drum roll……… according to the study the moon has NO affect in deer movement or bedding duration or frequency. However, if you disagree, they want to hear from you.

I’ve been tracking my personal observations against the solunar “forecast” for years. My takeaway is that it’s not even close as often as it’s spot on. So, yeah, has little to nothing with deer movement. Weather has more to do with it.

One of my biguns just daylighted. The feed cycle says the last few days and next few are good. I hav seen that work a lot - dont think moon has anything to do with that though

The feed cycle and “activity times” are based on the moon being overhead and underfoot. I don’t waste my time with that and go when I can.

Yep, I like to hunt on days that are pleasant when all critters are moving, big weather changes and any conditions when the rut is rockin' and rollin'.

And having an awesome place don’t hurt either.

Good luck this season, 2dogs.
