So, when yall investors invest your money in something tangible, do you ever have an opportunity to hold in your hand what you have bought? I was thinking about this today. If you invest in a stock of some sort, you give your money to someone, likely online thse days. Then you watch that money online and see if its going up or down. If you ever want it back, you withdraw it. You never know for certain where your money went or whats really being done with it. Thats about like crypto.

But a certain amount of trust is involved, that your money is going where its supposed to and will come back

Only a fixed number of Bitcoin. Gold and Silver you can mine more which could effect the price. You can't eat any of them so nothing but bullets and guns are valuable in a worst case scenario. Many companies , pension funds , large corporations , countries around the world are piling into Bitcoin which will drive the price too a huge number. It's a chance for wealth for my family after I'm dead and gone !

Lot of that trust falls on my man at Raymond James , he invests also. Much of Crypto at this point is , in the words of Alan Greenspan "irrational exuberance." Not saying there isn't $ to be made there , but one day there will a GIANT reset.

No doubt and I wished I’d heeded advice to buy on the beginning, I just don’t understand the intricacies of it having value other than hope and pray.

Carter, i believe its all(crypto and stocks) just a form of gambling. But then i reckon farming and hunting is too. You put something in with the hopes of getting something more or better out. Sometimes you do, sometimes you dont. Life itself is a gamble of sorts

I think we are about to enter a period of hyperinflation. The fed has to lower rates and use quantitative easing because of the national debt. Crypto is a way to maintain wealth as the value of the dollar goes down. Stocks and real estate are also hedges against inflation. Trump policies may negate some of the effects, but I'm afraid he want be able to do enough. It would be too painful ot of people. We have maybe 10 years of this period then things are going to go south. I'm going to be reducing my cash, making more investments.

I get that but can’t figure what actually backs crypto besides hope
As long as everyone stays in the game it’s good kinda like many pyramids.

Im not pretending to understand it but when one can buy into a very complex and intricate computer system to mine bitcoins what is actually being mined? Nothing that one can hold if I understand correctly

I agree and not knocking anyone but myself for not buying in very early.
His next recommendation I didn’t take was blockchain technologies
I’m not too savvy 😝

Where does crypto mone go? How does it grow so fast? Is it funding different business ventures, like stocks? Theres a crypto named after that squirrel that the feds killed in New york. When you look it up, the owners explain that theyve started a fund, to protect animals i think. It sounds like theyre using the money to build that. That got me to wondering if crypto is some kind of investment where the inversor has no idea what their moneyis funding.

I don't see how something , unbacked , unproven can be a hedge against inflation . I get real property and gold but crypto, naw. What happens if things go bad and it's the first to go to 0 ? Or you want to convert to gold or dollars and nobody will take it? I reckon I don't understand it .

2dogs, my wife handles it so im not 100% sure about this but i think theres an app or something like that online where you go to buy and sell it. Its linked to a bank card or something like that to pay for it and if you want to sell it, they put it back on there. Thats what i was saying about it being like investing in stocks except you have no idea where your money really goes. She could sell all my xrp and get the money right now if she wanted to, just like having money in the bank. I dont understand much about it but it seems to be all online, computer or digital money, just about like everything else these days.
