The day started off very foggy. So bad, I had to stop at my first waypoint from the boat ramp. But it did not disappoint us. Caught a 29, 28, and an 18. Along with two large gar and numerous dinks we caught over 100lbs of fish. Water temp is now 62 and nice to see the fall bite start to kick into gear. Cut shad was the preferred bait this morning. Due to the continued drought, the river is about three feet low with minimal current. At least the floating eel grass is just about gone. Soon, I need to set the catfish rods aside and try to put some crappie in the live well.

Just curious because I don't catfish at all, but what exactly are you looking for? You mentioned a waypoint. A hump? depression on a flat?

This particular waypoint on my graph is a flat on the outside bend of the river. I've always marked a lot of shad balls there. I don't know why the bait fish are there, but they seem to run that section of the river.
