Well I checked the rice yesterday in my crocks it is a success. Do deer and turkeys like it?

Dove and ducks sure do. I highly doubt a turkey would pass it up or a deer if strolled through a patty

Most of the rice in TN, AR, MO, and IL has been cut and then that last hurricane came through so the waste rice has germed. There will be a lot less rice laying around for food

Well I set up to shoot beavers in a flooded swamp this evening till late Heard 1 Woodduck nothing else

Local duck population around here looks good. Hope they stay for the opener

I have not looked on the refugees or the river around here

Should have went to ND. Daughter's boyfriend and a couple of others went last week and killed geese, Pintail, Gadwall, Mallards. Think they killed around 150+ for the group (5 or 6 guys)

I wished I could. Talked to a boy at church said they were going to South Dakota this week

Got started about 3. Water oak leaves were bad. Going to dig deeper in morning with excavator and get foot valve deeper

Not many. I live on the river, so when Illinois central and south central seasons come in I can hear them shooting. It has been really quiet. I think I heard two volleys on Saturday and only 1 on Sunday.

I hunt in the south zone and haven't been over there since mid October. Season starts November 30th, so I'll start paying attention next week.

I have heard mallards every evening since Thursday. We going to try to pump 12 hours today. If we get that rain tomorrow it will be lovely 🥰

Deer hunted by one of the rivers here and saw tons of woodies couple flocks of Canada geese one flock of specs and a few mallards
