Well, I ended up stealing few hours this morning to take the muzzle loader out.
Weather looks nice, hopefully going to go kick some bushes and see if a buck jumps out.

Dang. Just walked up on a big buck.
Had to just hit the deck and crawl to get into position to shoot.
By the time I got set he had eased off.
I’m set up now and just hoping he is still hanging around this briar thicket.

Hunting David K Nelson this morning. Scouted earlier and there are very few acorns this year. Not sure what the food plots look like. Imagine the water is low down there and most of the slews have dried up?

My trigger man wanted to come and hunt before this front.
Pretty stiff south wind here saw a bunch moving driving down and bumped one walking in. Didn’t go to where I wanted because we are late and I didn’t want ant to run anything out.
So here we are set up and he’s on the muzzleloader and ready for action.
Been here 8 minutes and the first doe just came out.
Hopefully he will smash a buck!
