I think He is referring to the season when LSU beat Bama 9-6 regular season game. Bama had to have Oklahoma State lose to Iowa State which happened. Bama did not win the SEC West or SEC Championship game. Bama backfired into BCS Championship game with a rematch/ revenge game against LSU in New Orleans Superdome. Bama won game 21-0 against LSU to win BCS Championship.

If he is talking about that year, the results of the decision to put Bama in defeats his claim that the committee puts Bama in simply because their fans travel well.
There wasn’t any excuse for losing that game in Tuscaloosa. Saban played crazy conservative and had those kids tighter than a banjo string. He outcoached himself in that one.
Remember that play in the 3rd quarter of the first game where McCarron completed that long ball down to the 1 yard line and after the DB and the receiver (with possession) were both on the ground and the DB ripped the ball away from him? They awarded that turd an INT and completely turned that game around. Still chaps my behind to this day.
