Just had a small bachelor group of rack bucks come through.

Beautiful weather this morning. I have waited a year for this and I’m enjoying every minute with my little man on the gun this morning. Nothing yet but I have heard a couple of shots. Good luck to everyone out there!

Very few shots heard in Greene County. Maybe this afternoon will be better.

Managed to get a shot at a nice 8 pt I’ve seen several times on my cameras. Beautiful clear still cold morning. Don’t get too many opening days like this one. Congrats to all the killers out there.

Doe down at 9:15. Haven’t pulled trigger at my club in 2 or 3 years. Had to fix that.

Beautiful morning in Pickens County

Saw a bobcat and shot a big doe just before I climbed down. Good morning.

Hunted in the NF this morning with my Son-in-law trying to get him his first deer. I saw three but he saw zero. Taking a nap and then climbing in wood boxes on private afterwards.

Spent a good bit of time over the offseason setting up a long range gun. Decided to take it this morning and try to shoot one way off. Shot a big nanny at 742yds, DRT. The other deer didn’t even know what had happened. Saw another 10 or so over the next hour and a mature deer I’ve had on cam stepped out. He’s got a stout body, just poor antlers for his age. 650ish yds on him, DRT. This long range stuff is addicting.
