I haven’t seen any in the mtns and I’ve covered a lot of ground in the past few weeks. I’ve never seen white oaks leafs still green at Thanksgiving.

I have a few water oaks on the hill with acorns and a few trees in the bottom with them. Slim pickings but it’s all good.

My usual spots in the Bankhead are completely devoid of acorns. Zero sign. Haven't even seen a deer in the last 12+ hours of hunting. I'm guessing they're all on corn. Frustrating. Same experience

I've hunted hill country and river bottom country. River bottom had a few but nothing substantial. Hill country haven't seen a single acorn and I've scouted thousands of trees.

Not many in bottom lands for me and just a few more in the hills. I noticed a lot of white oaks dropping in late September on a place in Pickens county. Haven’t found or heard the first swamp chestnut drop.
