Found some white oaks today and they are dropping like crazy, but nothing is touching them. Would the drought affect the maturation process of the acorns? Usually the deer and hogs are all over them. I’ve found the same thing the last couple of weeks. Found a big white oak flat that had tons of big acorns. I out a camera in there and didn’t see much at all. Not much sign in there either.

What I have found in the ones I’ve opened is not flesh, it’s dry powder rotten insides.
