4 years now for me after 40 years at UPS ! I havent missed one day working! Fish and hunt when ever I want to! Wife works part time at home and can punch out any time she wants! A uncle died a week after he retired and a guy at work also died right after he retired! I did it early at 57 so I could enjoy it! My advice is do it as soon as you can! Yep, I worked with a feller who was bout 72 and wouldn't retire. We stayed after him too , he'd talk about it , but he wouldn't pull the trigger . He went home one afternoon , mowed his yard and had a heart attack . I've been retired nearly 3 years . I was very concerned about Biden's economy , but when it came time I wasn't letting that stop me. I figured if I didn't have enough $ to survive Biden , I shouldn't retire anyway. I never looked back.

4 or 5 yrs or months depending on company retention or RIFs.
